| Keeper of the Flame – Documentary Posted: 04 Apr 2011 08:39 PM PDT Overview: NDTV Profit will be telecasting the film ‘Keepers of the Flame’ which has immortalized the life and times of the three great Tata stalwarts – Jamsetji Tata, J.R.D Tata and Naval Tata. The movie interlaces the lives of the three men with the great events that took place in India and Europe during a period that spans from the beginning of the Victorian era to the end of the twentieth century and encompasses adventure, conflict and sterling achievement. An on-screen narration by Kabir Bedi takes the film through various locations to bring the stories to life and is buttressed by vivid period photographs and archival film footage. | Man Made Marvels – Okinawa Aquarium – Documentary Posted: 04 Apr 2011 08:28 PM PDT Overview: The aquarium is a part of the Ocean Expo Commemorative National Government Park located in Motobu, Okinawa. The aquarium is made up of four floors, with tanks containing deep sea creatures, sharks, coral and tropical fish. The aquarium is set on 19,000 m? of land, with a total of 77 tanks containing 10,000 m? of water. Water for the saltwater exhibits is pumped into the aquarium from a source 350m offshore, 24 hours a day. The main tank, called the Kuroshio Sea, holds 7,500 cubic metres (1,981,000 USgal) of water and features an acrylic glass panel measuring 8.2 by 22.5 metres (27 by 74 ft) with a thickness of 60 centimetres (24 in),[5] the largest such panel in the world when the aquarium was opened.[1][6] Whale sharks and manta rays are kept alongside many other fish species in the main tank.[1] The first manta ray birth at the aquarium was in 2007.[7] As of July 2010, there have been a total of four manta rays born in the aquarium. The aquarium holds 80 species of coral. It is one of only a few aquariums that keeps whale sharks in captivity, and is currently trying to breed them. He has a flair for comedy and has donned a number of roles in Hindi movies(for example, he can be seen in the Shahrukh Khan film “Baazigar” as Shilpa Shetty enters her college,soon after her introduction in the movie), television and in stage shows with some of the biggest showmen of the Hindi movie industry. He was also associated with the Indian comic icon Johnny Lever as an important troop member, and made his name as a very talented mimicry artist.
